The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Hemp seed may be one of nature's most perfect foods. With a pleasant nut-like flavor and creamy texture, our hulled hemp seed is a nutritious and delightful addition to cereals, salads and baked goods. Hulled hemp seed is a good source of protein and contains all of the essential amino acids.
One serving contains 882mg of Omega-3 and 3500 mg of Omega-6 fatty acids.
Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods low in total fat, saturated and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen
- 1 lb Tofu
- 1 cup Hulled Hemp Seed
- 1/4 cup Sunflower Seed
- 3 Green Onions, chopped
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tsp dried Basil
- 3 cups Herb Seasoned Stuffing
In a food processor, blend tofu. Add the rest of the ingredients except the stuffing and blend until smooth. Put the stuffing in a bowl and pour tofu mixture on top. Mix thoroughly. Form into burger patties and bake on a well greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 325°F. Flip burgers with a spatula and continue baking for another 15 minutes. Makes 8 hemp burgers.

This stuff is great! I put a tablespoon in my morning smoothie. Great flavor. Good price too!
Mixed w/water, a bit of salt & sugar, gives me a creamy, non-dairy milk option to use cold or in pancake batter. Also can sprinkle in my cereal. Does not heat well though, so hot carob drink is out.
