I normally don't post reviews, but I'm posting for a rather selfish reason...I want enough people to buy this that I don't want iHerb to ever consider removing it from their inventory or discontinue it. I was a avid consumer of Truvia until the class action lawsuits against its "natural" claims, and until I realized that the extra ingredients in it were causing bloating over several months. Raw stevia doesn't cause these problems, but I don't like the taste of it as a pure sweetener. I then switched to Monk Fruit in the Raw, which was great, but way more expensive, and the bulk bag was not as sweet, concentrated, or tasty as the individual packets, which were not ecofriendly at all. Then, after a lot of research into weight loss (not traditional research, but PubMed research of journal articles involving the more biological components of weight gain involving insulin, the liver, and fatty liver), I found out about Trehalose. The fact that research suggests it helps the liver detox and reduces fatty liver makes it an excellent indirect component of a weight loss regimen. Fortunately, iHerb sells it. I gave it a try and was very happy with it. It doesn't alter the flavor of my tea, and a tiny bit goes a long way. I have to use about 1/4 of a teaspoon and the drink is pretty sweet, so this bag looks small and expensive, but it lasts a LONG time and it is so much healthier than other sweeteners or artificial sweeteners. The only con is that it is so powdery that when you open the bag, the dust from it goes into the air and pouring it is quite difficult. The bag generally is useless after several pours because it is hard to close again. These are just minor inconveniences and now I transfer it all to smaller containers, one for work, one for kitchen, etc. Give it a try. You'll love it!
