We started Seven Sundays with a simple goal: to create a breakfast that was equally nutritious and delicious so that you could savor a little "Sunday Morning" every day of the week. We first discovered muesli ("myoo-slee", Swiss-German for 'mix') while trekking in New Zealand on our honeymoon and have been crafting our own modern muesli mixes since our first farmers market in 2011.
The Classic Bircher Mix is a fresh take on a century old breakfast classic. Named after the Swiss inventor of muesli, Dr. Maximillian Bircher-Benner, this mix start with the original recipe - apples + raw oats. We've amped it up with nuts, seeds and a blend of spices.
Just add milk or make it your own
Prepare Cold - Mix equals muesli & milk. Enjoy immediately or cover and let soak in the fridge for 10 minutes to overnight.
Prepare Hot - Mix equal parts muesli & milk or water. Microwave for 1 minute or cook on the stove for 3 minutes.
Toppings - Fresh berries, yogurt, honey, nut butter.
Gluten free oats, sorghum flakes, buckwheat, almonds, dates (dates, rice flour), currants, coconut, pumpkin seeds, apples, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, cinnamon and cardamom.
