Great product. A healthy substitute for butter

It's organic, vegan, non-gmo and non-hydrogenated. Has a mild coconut smell. Has a colour and consistency similar to softened butter, but does not require refrigeration. Great for baking, frosting, popcorn, stir fry, and pretty much as a healthy substitute for shortening or butter. Contains good fats and zero cholesterol. Palm oil is also rich in vitamins A and E and antioxidants.

Yes! There's organic unrefined palm oil and organic unrefined coconut oil, but what isn't obvious until one opens it and is shocked by the margarine consistency of it that something else is the main ingredient. Reading the fine print of the ingredients brings to light that the main ingredient is "refined" palm oil". If you like margarine, you'll like this "shortening."

AS I HAVE SEVERE DAIRY INTOLERANCE, I CAN'T EAT BATTER. BUT I LOVE BUTTERY FOODS (I USE TO BE ABLE TO EAT) AND I MISSED THEM SO MUCH, SO I BOUGHT THIS, AND THIS TOTALLY SATISFIES ME. thank you, palm oil. but other than the blinding color, the taste & texture is great & makes piecrusts & buttercream so well. it leaves a pretty strong coconut flavor when sugar is added though, so i guess i'll always have coconut flavored everything when i use this for sweet stuff.

I really like this oil. It doesn't get too hard at room temperature and the taste is more neutral than using coconut oil. I plan to purchase Annatto seeds to make Annatto oil with this. Google using Annatto oil as a tocotrienol supplement.
