Got diagnosed with GDM few weeks ago and have been experienting all sort of products made from different flours (wholewheat, rye, brown rice, buckwheat). I have been eating quinoa for 2 weeks straight and got really tired of it. This chickpea pasta is a change. Doesnt taste bad but its no real pasta. No al dente-ness. For moms with GDM, can give this a try just to add more edible stuff to the restricted diet repertoire.
i like this pasta very much and really appreciate that it is non-GMO, organic & gluten free. and great that it cooks up nicely in just under 7 minutes. i drain out the water after i boil it and then add a little water to the pot, stir and drain again to give it a good rinse to eliminate some of the carbs left in the water. i love the protein & fiber content as well - the extra protein works great if you are making an all veggie meal. i have tried many other chickpea and lentil pastas and this is my favorite. highly recommend!
As an airline cabin crew I try to avoid heavy food on the flight and usually cook for every flight I operate.
This pasta is good, I didn’t feel any heaviness or bloating after consuming it. Would totally recommend for those, who has bloating feeling after eating gluten products.
Easy to cook, goes well with cheeses or salad. Reasonable price
Love the simple ingredients. If you like the (slight) taste of chickpeas, you will enjoy this healthier version of wheat pasta. I love pulse pasta because it contains more protein than the other types of pasta and thus is more filling and hearty. The box is enough for 2 to 4 servings, depending of how much you eat. The overall quality is great.
I puchase and use a lot of grainfree pastas and these were excellent. The flavor and cosistancy of this pasta is very similar to what you would find with a standard pasta. Once cooked and drained it holds sauces well. The flavor doesn't overpower even a milder sauce. It was easy to use these for anything you might use a standard pasta for. The only caution I would give here is to be careful not to overcook these. Just a few min too long and they will get soupy and unusable. However, if you follow the instructions and keep an eye on pasta these are great!
