These are fresh and flavorful. Crack or grind to your preference right before using for maximum flavor. They hold their flavor (and aroma!) well in their whole form so don't panic about trying to use a pound super fast. We go through a lot of pepper so the bulk size makes sense for us. Just reseal the bag until you need more!
This is my 2nd purchase of Frontier black peppercorns. I put as many as my grinder will hold and the packaging keeps the rest of them fresh. I don't know how iherb does it but sometimes I get my order the day after I order. Prices are good and orders are always correct.

Another good quality product of Frontier Coop!. It’s clean and well package. I like using whole peppercorns and grinding it myself for its freshness it’s health benefit. It adds flavor to dishes well!

Bought it a while ago, and now we do not have pepper shortage for a year ... with all the little packages we normally buy, you end up not having it when most needed ...
Excellent quality! Frontier has fabulous quality standards and buying bulk is so cost effective for anyone who goes through herbs and spices quickly like I do. I keep them sealed in quart sized jars with air tight lids for storage.
It's so expensive to get a small bottle and buying bulk is the way to go. These peppers are very fresh and flavorful at a great price.
I like to grind black pepper myself before using it. This does not compare with the purchased ground pepper. I am pleased with its organic nature. Pepper is fragrant, clean. Well packed. i will share it with my mother and mother-in-law to use it in the freshest possible way.
